Session: Easy SEO and Analytics Reviews
“Our session covers the basics of SEO and Google Analytics for organizers, or non-digital people who need to understand how their website is performing. Both SEO and Google Analytics have a mysterious air to them and seem difficult, but they couldn’t be easier.
Understanding SEO means understanding your content and how people can find your organization or content when they’re searching for you. With Google Analytics, you can keep track of what matters in terms of basic information like visits and where visitors come from, but also track your goals, like your sign-up or action forms.
Having a good, fundamental understanding of both SEO and your metrics can help you reach your audiences, track their engagement, and can shape the messages and experiences that they have with your organization.”

Session: Doing More for the 1 in 4: Making Virtual Spaces More Inclusive and Accessible for People with Disabilities
“The Ability Central session 'Doing More for the 1 in 4' will provide a holistic approach to accessibility. The session combines facts and lived experience to show why we should make our virtual spaces more inclusive of people with disabilities.
It then demonstrates how to make online meetings and presentations accessible using your existing apps and technology. Participants will leave with actionable items to use moving forward and access to resources we've curated to keep the conversation going. Here is a resource link that we will share with participants.”
In addition to workshops, the Digital Strategy Summit will also feature lively and insightful panel discussions.
We asked Mira Weinstein, Founder and Organizer-in-Chief of Organizing To Win, what topic she hopes to talk about in the “Can We Build Authentic Relationship Online?” panel.
“The pivot to technology-boosted campaigns has been both incremental and lightning fast. If we think about organizing as bringing people together to build power, what happens when we're not actually together?
In this discussion, we'll talk about the intersection of organizing and technology. How do we continue to build authentic relationships and trust in new ways? How does the introduction of new technologies impact our ability to build meaningful organizing relationships?”
Josh Nelson, CEO, of Civic Shout will be featured on the panel “Ethical Email Trends in 2022” and is excited to talk about “the growing wave of digital practitioners who are rejecting deceptive tactics and treating their supporters with dignity and respect.
That starts with how people join our email communities in the first place. My new platform, Civic Shout, offers easy, reliable, free and paid options to reach grassroots supporters and potential donors who want to hear from your cause or campaign. US-based progressive groups and Democratic campaigns can learn more and sign up to join the Civic Shout partner network here.”
