About the Presenters:

Emily Logan -- Senior Campaign Manager, Care2

Emily has been with Care2 since 2007 and has enjoyed working with the teams of Sierra Club, NRDC, American Humane Association, Environmental Defense Fund, The Wilderness Society, Planned Parenthood and many more. She now also helps nonprofits find a place for themselves on our cause channel blogs.

Prior to coming to Care2, Emily worked as a features reporter for a newspaper in San Luis Obispo, CA. A life-long activist, she had volunteered with the Progressive Student Alliance, Amnesty International and Sierra Club. She has also recently served a term with AmeriCorps, leading a team of environmental education volunteers. She works in Care2's one-woman office in Portland, OR, and enjoys finding creative ways to keep herself entertained in the 9 months of rain each year. Her passions include organic farming and gardening, urban chickens, her kitties, self-publishing, printmaking, bookbinding, playing music and hiking.

Dane Grams - Director of Nonprofit Services, Care2

Dane is a seasoned online communications and fundraising professional with more than 18 years of experience. He has directed strategic planning and implementation of innovative, integrated and award-winning direct marketing and online campaigns that have helped organizations establish identities, build strong brands, and inspire tens of thousands of individuals to support meaningful causes with both their voices and their dollars.

Dane worked as senior director of development at GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network. In his role he oversaw a nearly $7 million dollar revenue budget that had grown more than 21% during his tenure. Previously, Dane worked for the Human Rights Campaign for 11 years where he last served as the online strategy director, building one of the most admired online communications programs in the non-profit community that has grown to more than 1 million online constituents and donors.

He has also been fortunate enough to work and consult for several other amazing non-profits including Greenpeace, GLAAD, the Cathedral of Hope, Witness for Peace and the Alliance for Justice. For more than 5 years Dane has served on the Editorial Advisory Board of Fundraising Success Magazine and currently serves as the Co-Chair. Dane is also a member of the National Leadership Council for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and is the Race Director of the Front Runners LGBT Pride Run in Central Park.
