Care2 Adds Two Experts to Nonprofit Services Team

Largest Online Social Action Community of 10 Million "Do Gooders" Adds Fundraising and Advocacy Experts Allyson Kapin and Stephen O’Keefe, Who Bring Decades of Experience at Helping Nonprofits Succeed

Redwood City, Calif. – January 13, 2009 - Strengthening its commitment to helping nonprofit organizations tap into Care2’s millions of civically-active members in their online fundraising, advocacy and email marketing, Care2 proudly announced two new additions to its Nonprofit Services team.

Taking the reins as blogger-in-chief of Care2’s "Frogloop" website (www.frogloop.com) for nonprofit professionals is Allyson Kapin, founder and principal of consulting firm Rad Campaign and a blog columnist for Fast Company Magazine. Allyson will continue to lead her firm, while devoting her blogging energy and savvy to building Frogloop into an even more powerful resource for nonprofit marketing and fundraising professionals to advance their causes. Several times a week Allyson will blog about trends in nonprofit technology and online marketing, and discuss how nonprofits can leverage social media and Web 2.0 to maximize their outreach. Stephen O’Keefe joins the Care2’s Washington, DC-based Nonprofit Services team in the role of Director of Client Management, after four years at software-as-a-service provider Convio, Inc., where he managed relationships with leading association and nonprofit clients, including many well-known environmental groups. Stephen also previously worked for a Boston-based strategic consulting firm that worked with educational nonprofits, and as a field manger for several political campaigns.

"Stephen and Allyson are well-known experts in the nonprofit world who together bring 20+ years of experience helping mission-driven organizations to succeed," said Clinton O’Brien, Vice President of Nonprofit Services at Care2. "At a time of unprecedented opportunity for nonprofits to advance their agendas – but also a time of sobering economic challenges -- we are especially excited that these two pros will help Care2 deliver even greater results for our nonprofit partners."

Both Allyson and Stephen are available for press interviews.
