Presentation: A Recipe For Success: Tracking & Converting Supporters for Maximum Results

Written by Allyson Kapin | 2012/5/24

Care2 held a great webinar on Tuesday that highlighted best practices for converting new subscribers to donors. During the webinar, Janna Chan of the Center for Reproductive Rights and Jaime Grams of Integral and Dane Grams of Care2, discussed the importance of recruiting new supporters to your list, as well how to keep your list engaged, involved and of course convert them to donors.

Chan also talked about the importance of leveraging the news cycle to engage your nonprofit's list. For example, when the Center for Reproductive Rights was supporting the case against Texas's mandatory ultrasound law (which was a big news story), they launched a New Yorker Style Cartoon Caption Contest and asked people to submit a caption for the cartoon they designed about the outrageous law. The organization received more than 4,000 submissions and supporters voted for their favorite caption. The winning captions was featured on the Center's website, eNews, email and social networks.
